Burning of the Canes - Saturday 25 July
Burning of the Canes – A Timeless Vineyard Ritual
As part of the Winter Reds Festival, Ngeringa invites you to Burning of the Canes, an afternoon of ritual, warmth and celebration.
Long woven into the traditions of winemaking regions around the world, Burning of the Canes symbolises renewal and the rhythms of vineyard life - a practice to clear old vine growth and nourish the soil. With a glass of Ngeringa wine on arrival, gather around the fire to bring to life this age-old vineyard celebration. Guests will be welcomed to place their own bundle of canes onto the flames - a moment to honour both the land and the wine it nourishes.
Local Chef, Jeff Trotter will be serving a steaming, slow-cooked Beef Bourguignon alongside a seasonal vegetarian offering. Share in the feast alongside Ngeringa’s award-winning wines at the bar throughout the afternoon.
